Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigate the relationship between the changes in phase and those in polarization in polarimetric interferometric synthetic aperture radar (PolInSAR) to elucidate the generation mechanisms of singular points (SPs). The results of the analysis show that there is a correlation between the parameters in the scattering mechanism vector optimized to maximize the interferometric coherence and those in the Pauli coherency matrix. It means that there is a correlation between the parameters of the phase compensation and the parameters of polarization. That is, the main changes in phase and those in polarization originate from an indentical phenomenon, namely, scattering itself. It also means that the polarization parameters can be used for compensation of SPs.
