Behavior Analysis and Efficiency Estimation of Maximum Load of Wireless Power Transfer Using Trapezoidal Voltage Formed by Soft Switching

Abstract(in English) Research on wireless power transfer is being conducted from various perspectives. In this paper, analyze a practical wireless power transfer system consisting of "trapezoidal wave output inverter, magnetically coupled coil with primary parallel / secondary series resonance, rectifying / smoothing circuit, resistive load" in detail. The author convert nonlinear circuit to linear circuit, utilize equivalent circuit converted to primary side, apply transient analysis and clarify behaviors and properties by mathematical analysis. Design conditions under the maximum load that can maintain soft switching are identified, and circuit characteristics and efficiency are determined. Comparing numerical solutions with mathematical calculations using a circuit simulator, verify the validity of the analysis method and summarize the usefulness of the trapezoidal wave input magnetic coupling circuit from both viewpoints of inverter and power transmission.
