Numerical Examination on Specific Absorption Rate in Multi-Layer Human Head at Different Polarization Using FDTD Method

Abstract(in English) When the human head is exposed to electromagnetic wave propagation area, it may occur some unwanted effects in tissues and cells because of the absorption of Electric field. In this report, these specific absorption rate (SAR) and Temperature are examined with the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) Method. Two dimensional formulation of FDTD is applied in the computing of exposure rate on human head. Using 2D FDTD numerical calculation approaches, the propagation of electric field is investigated in two modes, Transverse Electric (TE) wave and Transverse Magnetic (TM) wave. The Source is kept near human head and study the effect of Electric field propagation in frequency of 3.35 GHz and 4.5 GHz. Human head is designed as layers structured as six layers namely Skin, Fat, Bone, Dura, CSF (Cerebrospinal fluid), and brain.
