Magnetic-field dependence of critical current of Co/Bi2212/Co hybrids

Abstract(in English) We have investigated the influence of the spin current injection on the transport properties of intrinsic Josephson junctions in Co/Bi2212/Co hybrid structure under applied magnetic fields. The current-voltage characteristics of the fabricated samples showed multiple quasiparticle branches with hysteresis similar to those of conventional intrinsic Josephson junctions. On the other hand, the critical current changed depending on the field sweep direction and showed hysteretic filed dependence. From the observed hysteresis loop of the samples, it was found that the critical current was strongly suppressed in the antiparallel configuration of the relative magnetization orientation of two Co layers, due to the accumulation of spin-polarized quasiparticles in intrinsic Josephson junctions.
