Abstract(in English) | Realizing various application services leveraging low-latency responses offered by edge computing is expected. An example application service is AR navigation using wearable devices to navigate the way to the home. The AR navigation requires low-latency response between the device and server, and involves user privacy data. For such application service, server migration is effective according to the user mobility. In this paper, we propose the server migration method that is scalable to many application services and mobility of many end-user devices. In our method, the mobility management function of an infrastructure owner collaborates with the migration function in servers. By our method, the resource management system of an infrastructure owner does not need to be involved for VM migration, which differs from the existing methods. Heavy loads on the resource management can be avoided and the scalability improves. |
