Abstract(in English) Single-electron (SE) devices were fabricated by randomly distributed gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) dispersed by a dropping a Au NP solution on electrodes fabricated on chips covered by the oxide layer. We report that the electrical characteristic in which a conductance was modified with an applied gate voltage, i.e. the electrical characteristic similar to that of a capacitively-coupled single-electron transistor (C-SET) and the electrical characteristic similar to that of a resistively-coupled single-electron transistor (R-SET), and a negative differential resistance were observed on some of the SE devices.
