Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When sounds are impinging on the water-air boundary from water, the water surface is deformed by acoustic radiation pressure. We have proposed acoustic power measurement using water surface deformation. In this report, the relationship between the acoustic power of a focused transducer estimated by the proposed method and the sound pressure at a focal point was experimentally examined by varying sound pressure. The result showed that the estimated sound power was proportional to the square of sound pressure in a relatively low sound pressure region, however, the increase of sound pressure broke that relationship. This result suggests that the proposed method has an applicable sound pressure or power region, and the modification of the relation between water surface displacement and radiation pressure is needed for utilization of this method for high-intense ultrasound.
