Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Channel bonding technology, which bundles multiple adjacent channels, is one of the promising way for improving throughput performance in IEEE 802.11ac wireless LANs. In particular, current commercial IEEE 802.11ac access points (APs) employ the static channel bonding to avoid contention during channel bonding. In our prior work, we clarified that there are three types of communication procedures of IEEE 802.11ac AP with static channel bonding due to different implementation among vendors, such as extended RTS/CTS (optional function), the number of aggregated frames in an A-MPDU, and so on. However, the impact of multiple APs with different communication procedures on communication performance has not been clarified yet. However, the impact of multiple APs with different communication procedures on communication performance has not been clarified yet. Therefore, in this paper, we investigate the communication performance with static channel bonding in the case where multiple communication with different procedures coexist in the actual experiment. As a result, contention between APs with RTS/CTS affects communication performance depending on the number of frame aggregation and communication time per transmission opportunity. On the other hand, when contention between AP with and without RTS/CTS, the communication performance of AP with RTS/CTS affects depending on behavior of AP without RTS/CTS. |
