Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are many proposals for presenting information by AR using HUD, especially in the automobile field, and the number of practical vehicles equipped with HUD is increasing. But in the HUD currently used, problems of narrow viewing angle and near focus are pointed out. And It is said that it is difficult to realize wide-field, far-focus car-mounted HUD due to cost and size. Therefore, in this research, As a study for the development of in-vehicle HUD, we propose and design HUD using retroreflective materials and investigate the relationship between these optical components and human perception. As a result of experiments using HUD, we could confirm a certain tendency with respect to optical components of HUD and binocular stereopsis and depth perception of human beings.
