Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In CSMA/CA which is used as media access control in the IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN, there is a problem that the total throughput of the terminals decreases as the number of terminals connected to the same access point increases. In order to solve this problem, a media access control method (SP-MAC) based on synchronous phenomena of coupled oscillators has been proposed. And, it was confirmed that SP-MAC can avoid collision of data frame and improve the throughput drastically by comparing with CSMA/CA. Also, some applications requiring a certain throughput such as video streaming. In order to satisfy the throughput guaranteeing requests, an adaptive control method based on SP-MAC has been proposed and evaluated. However, this method cannot obtain sufficient throughput by the TCP congestion control. In this research, we evaluate the throughput performance of adaptive throughput control when typical TCP versions are used. Then, we investigate the relationship between the adaptive throughput control and TCP congestion control. |
