Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The excessive stress causes decrease in productivity and the onset of disease. In order to reduce such negative influences, it is necessary for each individual to acquire ways to control their own stresses autonomously. Therefore, we developed a system to support the acquisition of stress control with a sound presentation agent adaptive to user's stress condition. This system adaptively changes the training parameter based on the states of stress estimated from a user's reaction with probabilistic fluctuations. In the evaluation experiment, participants were divided into three groups: sound presentation using both EEG and ECG, ECG alone, and randomly. The experiment showed that one participant in the group using both EEG and ECG controlled of appropriate attention to the environment and consistently increased indices of relaxation measured in EEG and ECG signals.
