Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we report our virtual reality (VR) system, in which a user can train their English conversation skill. In the training program, a user have chat with an immigration officer in the airport. The system uses automatic speech recognition to find the keywords in the conversation. In addition, feedbacks and assistance were given to the user during and after the conversation. We tested users' self-efficacy and anxiety for English, comparing users with and without VR settings. As results, users trained with VR situation showed increasing self-efficacy and lower anxiety for English than those trained without VR situation.
