Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) attracts an intensive attention as an important technology for practical IoT (Internet of Things) applications. WSNs generally consist of battery-driven nodes with limited battery capacity, thus power saving technologies are essential for the lifetime extension of WSNs. If the network load is offered to some specific nodes, their battery power will be lost soon. Namely, these nodes will be disjoint. This problem is called energy hole problem. In order to prevent this problem, the load should be distributed over the network. In this paper, a new routing method is proposed, which is based on the residual energy of nodes by applying ACO (Ant Colony Optimization). ACO is inspired by the feeding behaviour of ants. This routing method can distribute energy consumption among nodes effectively, and can extend the network lifetime.
