| Abstract(in English) | In recent years, opportunities of having meetings with remote parties through a video conferencing system are increasing. In this research, we conduct two remote communication experiments and investigate three kinds of emotion presentation methods: screen display, video, and speech. In the first experiment conducted as a preliminary experiment, it was found that conversation participants observe emotional presentation of the remote partner, and this affects the number of utterances of the participants. Then, we created a tool that can change the facial expression and the pitch of speech sound, and conducted a remote communication experiment in which conversation participants can use this tool at any time during the conversation. As a result of analyzing the collected data, it was suggested that effective communication support may differ depending on the characteristics of group and individual participant. |
