Performance evaluation for path navigation based on wide-view and depth images

Abstract(in English) We are studying navigation systems using camera images. We focused on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), which creates a map and estimates the position by comparing the three-dimensional structure of the environment measured by sensors as a position estimation method that can be used on an arbitrary route. In this paper, we propose SLAM navigation using Intel? RealSense ZR300 as a sensor. We evaluate the performance by conducting verification experiments using OR (Object Recognition), PT (Person Tracking), SLAM libraries which are published by Intel?, and examine the usefulness of ZR300 in navigation system.
