Abstract(in English) | Recently, daily monitoring of heartbeats and breathing offers a promising solution to prevent lifestyle-related diseases, and enables early treatment of diseases. Conventional measurement methods such as electrocardiograph (ECG) and other wearable devices, make people discomfort, thus it is quite difficult to measure them continuously without stress. This paper proposes a contactless measurement method using millimeter-wave wideband radio system, where very small amount of displacement change of body surface can be captured by using millimeter-wave having very short wavelength, and the harmful influence of the random body movement and phase noise of local oscillators can be reduced by using inherent cyclo-stationarity of breathing and heartbeats. This paper demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed method by some computer simulations and measurements. |
