The effect on the economic behavior given by the typeface change on the Web page using Web font

Abstract(in English) In this research, we investigated the cognitive effect given to usersby changing the typeface of contents displayed on Web sites utilizing the Web font which is unaffected by the viewer's environment and easy to change the typeface. We focused on the luxury of the typeface and verified the influence of economic behavior by luxury of typeface encourages the user's satisfaction and self-esteem. We evaluated the impression of the typeface by preliminary survey, and experimented the influence on the amount of user's donation by changing the luxury due to the change of the typeface. The result of experiment suggested that the amount of donation improves by luxury of typeface, and changing the typeface deliberately by changing the luxury given to the user from the typeface could affect economic behavior. It is expected that the knowledge of this research will contribute to service development and expression making use of the cognitive effect of the typeface.
