Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Japanese language education, especially in its speech training, dubbing-based training has gained ahuge popularity. In this paper, novel techniques toward automatic assessment of dubbing speech are proposed based on segmental and prosodic comparison of a model utterance and a learner’s utterance. The proposed techniques can detect and feed back the segments that contain segmental or prosodic gaps between the two utterances. Here, a special attention was paid to robustness of comparison. Between a model speaker and a learner, age and gender are often different and results of comparison should be independent of acoustic differences found in their voices due to these factors. Prosodic comparison requires pitch pattern comparison between two utterances. However, extraction of F0 often induces extraction errors. To avoid this, an error-free algorithm for prosodic comparison is proposed. Inthis paper, a main focus is put on the error-free prosodic comparison.
