On Adaptive Self-Interference Suppression for Full Duplex Filter-and-Forward Relaying

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we study adaptive Self-Interference (SI) suppression using an adaptive FIR filter for In- -Band Full-Duplex relaying. A relay node has an adaptive FIR filter to suppress SI. To update filter weights, the MERRY algorithm, which is known as an adaptive channel shortening method, is used. Simulation results show that proposed method can suppress SI without channel knowledge and provide BER performance which is close to that in the absence of SI. Moreover, we evaluate the performance of this method in the presence of frequency independent and frequency dependent IQ imbalance at relay transmitter.
