Abstract(in English) | This paper examines the characteristics of the "$T$s$R$m evaluation method", which is generalized the "2s5m evaluation method" that uses the vehicles whose center position is within 5 m within 2 seconds as the evaluation target vehicles, by introducing "corresponding vehicle rate" which is the ratio of the number of vehicles to be evaluated to the number of vehicles in the entire evaluation area in the ITS communications for safety purposes, and clarifies that the optimum communication range exists from the evaluation of V2V communications using this evaluation method. First, the influence of the range of the collision determination time and the collision determination distance, which is a parameter of the "$T$s$R$m evaluation method", on the corresponding vehicle ratio is studied. Under the conditions of this research, in the case of the "2s5m evaluation method", it is shown that the number of vehicles to be evaluated is about 7% of the number of vehicles in the whole area evaluation widely used as the conventional evaluation index of ITS communications. Next, under the same condition, the optimum communication range of V2V communications where the ratio of receive information necessary becomes the maximum is 20m in the case of "2s5m evaluation method" and 200m in the case of the conventional whole area evaluation. The optimum communication range of the V2V communications determined by the "$T$s$R$m evaluation method" is significantly small; this means that the frequency utilization efficiency is high. Finally, from these results, it is concluded that it is important to appropriately evaluate the V2V communications with the aim of safety in a limited band. |
