A study on segmented deletion error correction using polar code

Abstract(in English) While it has been proved that polar code, proposed by Ar?kan, achieves the capacity of any discrete memoryless channel, it has not been considered to apply the polar code for synchronization error channels, which is not memoryless. In this paper, we consider a coding method with polar code for segmented deletion channels. The decoding is modified based on conventional successive cancellation (SC) decoding, that is, the SC decoding is modified to consider drifts incurred by deletions. By computer simulation of the method, we confirmed that it has the error control ability.
