Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Learner's corpus analysis has revealed that the acquisition of the Chinese auxiliary verb 会(hui) which represents “possibility” is hard for CFL(Chinese as a foreign language) learners whose first language is Japanese. In this paper, the author outlines the function of 会(hui) and reveal that this auxiliary verb is only used in Rational-time representation. In contrast, Japanese verbs have no markers to discriminate between the two types of time recognition. The author posits the fact that Japanese learners cannot consciously separate the two types of time perception as the reason for errors in the use of 会(hui) which are frequently made by Japanese learners.
