Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been pointed out that there are at least two kinds of recognition of time progress through the fact that Homo sapiens does not have means to perceive progress of the time directly. One is the recognition based on present experience being in closely related to the linguistic representations of what is perceived. A second recognition is that a thought can be viewed as in the concept of rational thinking that given the same perception reasonable people should come to the same expression. The relationship of asymmetry of the linguistic function of language use where not only form but also the precise characteristics of the situation remains one of the most important questions to be solved in the study of words organization. In this paper, the authors will ask the question of how and at what point the basic differences between experiential-present representation and rationale-time representation found in languages fit into this picture of tense and aspect categories in their grammaticalization perspectives.
