Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The basic functional unit of living thing is a cell, and Bilayer Lipid Membranes (BLMs) constructed by this cell membrane can be expanded artificially. Artificially constructed BLMs are expected to be applied for biosensors. To sense small current signals, ion-channel-embedded BLMs must have high resistivity compared to channels. In this work, we created plain BLMs using artificial way which is called as “a folding method”, and evaluated their electrical characteristics. In addition, we introduced a new equivalent circuit model including electric double layers for both sides of a BLM. As a result, the proposed equivalent circuit produced fitting curves better than conventional models. Besides obtained BLMs resistances were on the TΩ-order, and much higher than many previous studies.
