Analysis of physical activity and autonomic nervous activity during sleep in daily life using wearable photoelectric pulse wave sensor

Abstract(in English) In this study, we analyzed the relationship between physical activity(PA) and autonomic nervous activity during sleep in daily life of six subjects (33 ± 9 yr) using wearable photoelectric pulse wave sensor and PA meter. As a result, there was significant negative correlation between PA and standard deviation of heart rate variability (SDRR) for 90 min after sleep onset (p <0.05). In addition, SDRR showed interaction between PA and age by mixed model analysis, (p <0.05). Therefore, sympathetic nerve activity in 90 min after sleep on is promoted on days with a large PA, and it is considered that SDRR is affected by PA and aging. It is suggested that SDRR is an index showing the relationship between PA during the daily life and autonomic nervous activity during sleep.
