Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes an autonomous car driving using a cellular network. In the proposed scheme, location information for each car with its detected timing is transmitted to a car location information server via a cellular network and the received data are utilized in the car to estimate car accident occurrence more accurately by extrapolating the received location information sequence. The data in a server are then broadcasted to each car thereby each car can correctly understand location information for cars located nearby. Computer simulation confirms that the proposed technique is effective in suppressing probability of accident occurrence. The results also show that shorter cycle of car location-data transmission is very effective in suppression of accident occurrence even if transmission delay from the car location-information server is long. |
