Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) FSK signal has a constant envelope and is suited to the non-linear amplification with high power efficiency. This feature may be applicable to the uplink wireless transmission of sensor network equipment operating with low battery power. In order to raise the frequency utilization efficiency, MIMO spatial multiplexing on uplink is needed. As the transmission rate increases, the channel becomes frequency selective. On such a MIMO frequency selective channel, signal separation and equalization of FSK signal using coherent MLD (Maximum Likelihood Detection) with channel estimation at the base station is a promising candidate. In this paper, we study the channel estimation scheme within transmission bandwidth of FSK or GFSK and with Zadoff-Chu sequence. By employing the obtained equivalent channel impulse response, we generate the receive replica signals and make the MLD detection. The proposed MIMO-FSK or GFSK receiver may be useful to the MTC (Machine Type Communication) in LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) uplink applications.
