Abstract(in English) | This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of tangible user interface for serious gaming. Serious game is a game designed for a serious purpose like healthcare, education, rather than pure entertainment. In order to make serious game more effective, using physical, tangible user interface to play serious game is attractive. In 2016, word construction game as an example of serious game with tangible user interface was developed. This is the prototype system with box-like tangible user interface, judging whether the boxes construct a correct English word or not by boxes themselves. However, this interface had several drawbacks. Rearranging the box is difficult and the number of available boxes in the game is limited. Therefore, new interface using RFID and wireless LAN is designed to overcome the drawbacks. In order to develop this system, Arduino platform is used for implementing boxes. Arduino is an open-source prototyping platform based on the Arduino Software and Arduino microcomputer board. As a result, it became possible to use many boxes, and rearrangement of boxes became easy. In addition, since the system can recognize all boxes, various games can be implemented. |
