Abstract(in English) | Person identification systems used for receiving pension need to have countermeasures against fraud by "spoofing" as annuitants who are already dead. In this paper, we propose and develop a multimodal person authentication system which can simultaneously confirm the users’ real existence. The proposed system uses Microsoft Kinect as an input device and integrates authentication methods by “face image” and “skeleton information”. The confirmation of user existence is realized by using gesture recognition based on the skeleton information. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed authentication system. The accuracy of gesture recognition is approximately 90% and the user existence confirmation works well. The proposed system also yields high authentication performance; false acceptance rate is 0% and false rejection rate is 2.3%. |
