Investigation and Evaluation of Traceability Management System Using Blockchain

Abstract(in English) Many companies have expectation for blockchain as a technology that brings innovation to their businesses. Especially, supply chain management in manufacturing industries, such as automobiles, is regarded as one of promising applications of blockchain. We proposed traceability management system of automobiles manufacturing, which consists of distributed blockchain nodes on IT infrastructures of multiple companies, converts information about parts ordering and manufacturing into a common model and manages them using blockchain. And we estimated that the system must treat 40 times of queries and 100 times of data references per second. We experimentally developed the system on cloud environment using Hyperledger Fabric, which is open-source platform of blockchain. As a result of performance evaluation, it was possible to satisfy the requirement by properly setting cloud and software environment.
