Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Most music consists of a melody and an accompaniment. For such music, the melody part should be played differently from the accompaniment part. However, some players have difficulty in playing a melody part and an accompaniment part separately. The objective of this research is to develop the music performance support system which analyzes the music performance of a player and visualizes missing note in the melody part as a feedback. Our system firstly extracts notes that can be heard as a melody part and as an accompaniment part from the recorded music performance according to theirs volumes, and creates a melody score and an accompaniment score. Created melody score is compared with the original melody score using the Levenshtein distance in order to determine missing notes in the player’s performance. Extracted missing notes are visualized on the original score and are given to the player. According to the experiment, our system could detect missing notes correctly, especially from the music that do not have sequences of the same note. In addition, the system has possibility to support players for practicing their performance. |
