Simulated Teaching Game to Prompt Teachers to Cultivate Generic Skills with Cooperation of Subject Areas and Period for Integrated Study

Abstract(in English) The new National Course of Studies intends to cultivate generic skills according to the cooperation of each subject area with “period for integrated study.” To achieve this purpose, this study aims to develop a simulated teaching game [STG] for teacher education. Although the goal of the study is to develop a STG carrying out virtual lessons based on teachers’ lesson plans, in this paper, I design a sample game by using the decision-making game to carry out lessons by choosing options in the given lesson plans. In order to emphasize importance of cooperation between lessons as well as among subjects, I assume to let teachers to carry out two lessons, an introductory lesson and an advanced lesson. Based on Matsuda (2016)’s "Warp and Woof model of problem solving," I design a student model to provide feedback information by changing its situation based on teachers’ choices.
