Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When conducting research in the university laboratory, it is important that all students independently execute four important tasks: (1) planning their research activity, (2) executing the research according to the plan, (3) accumulating their research information and (4) reflection of their research activities, based on the activity policy of the laboratory (laboratory rules). However, for unexperienced researchers, it can be difficult to properly execute and manage these four tasks based on laboratory rules (Problem 1). Furthermore, because research activities include a variety of research fields, laboratories, and contents, laboratory rules cannot be fixed (Problem 2). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a research activity management support system that will comprehensively integrate these four important tasks for a wide variety of research activities based on laboratory rules. To achieve this, in this research we first define "research activity" as a set of four tasks: planning, execution, information accumulation and reflection of research activities, and develop a research activity management support system to achieve smoothly research activities. Next, we develop a description grammar that can formally express research activities including laboratory rules. Furthermore, we develop a source code generator that outputs research activity management support systems, customized on specific laboratories, with the description as input. Finally, we evaluate the superiority of a supporting system, the expression ability of the description grammar, and the generative capacity of the generator. As a result, it can be expected to support management of research activities based on laboratory rules considering the variety of research activities.
