Abstract(in English) | Satellite/Terrestrial Integrated mobile Communication System (STICS) in which the satellite system and terrestrial system share the same frequency band enables user terminal to access both systems. STICS is expected to play a role as a communication infrastructure at the time of natural disaster, and also as a means of communication in mountainous and oceanic regions where a terrestrial station does not exist. However, in STICS, since both systems use the same frequency band, the communication quality of satellite link is degraded by the interference from terrestrial communication links. Our previous study has shown that communication quality can be improved by a cooperative communication scheme using two timeslots with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). However, in the system model used in previous study, the area in which terrestrial base stations suspend and the area in which they are alive are clearly separated. Thus, it could not be said that the system model simulates an actual environment appropriately. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new system model in which survival cells are randomly deployed in the service area of UAV cooperative communication. Moreover, we evaluated the throughput characteristics against the survival rate change of terrestrial base station. |
