Abstract(in English) | The ability to analyze big data has been required for the optimization of social systems. For the optimization of social systems, solving “combinatorial optimization problems”, which is difficult to find solutions efficiently using conventional computing techniques, is a key technique. Recently, there has been much interest in the possibility of Ising spin model to solve “combinatorial optimization problems”. The Ising spin model is a statistical mechanics model of magnetism that was invented by Wilhelm Lenz in 1920, and hardware implementations analogous to the Ising spin model have also been proposed. It has received considerable interest as a potential new computing paradigm for solving a wide range of social issues. Here we show that Ising machines can be used for the parameters optimization in experiments by direct mappings of parameters selection, which is one of a “combinatorial optimization problem”, onto the Ising Hamiltonian. This paper addresses a way of parameters optimization in feedback-controlled electromigration (FCE) method. The FCE process actively tunes the applied voltage in response to the changing resistance/conductance of metal nanowires. We applied optimum parameters obtained by the ground-state searches of Ising spin model to FCE experiments in order to confirm the usefulness of Ising machines. |
