| Abstract(in English) | International relations between Russia and Japan went worse during the period of Democratic Party (2010-2012). Especially the unsolved problem of Northern territories makes Russian image worse. In this paper we examine articles about Russia in Japanese newspapers and figure out, what are the exact elements of Russian image, and how did they change during Liberal-Democratic Party and Democratic Party periods. We analyze the articles from statistical and linguistic points of view, and use KH Coder and its Hierarchical Cluster, Co-occurrence network and KWIC Concordance Analysis to extract main topics used towards Russia and features of word usage in Japanese newspapers. |
