FDTD Analysis of Far Field Pattern above a Half Space

Abstract(in English) In this research, we aim for development of a far-field analysis method of antennas on a Half space by FDTD method. We have investigated a method to obtain the far field by obtaining the electromagnetic current on the equivalent plane using the FDTD method and applying it to the Green’s function of the half space. For the integration included in the Green’s function used in this research, the far field approximation formula was found using the saddle point method. Then, the electromagnetic flow on the equivalent plane surrounding only the antenna is calculated by the FDTD method, and it is converted from the value to the far field. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed by comparing it with the analysis result by MOM and the finite slab analysis result by the conventional method.
