Abstract(in English) | Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has recently been considered as downlink multiple access scheme to realize large-capacity communication system for 5th generation mobile communication systems (5G). In the situation of two users non-orthogonal multiple access, the near-base-station user equipment (UE) firstly removes signal of the cell-edge UE from total received signal by using successive interference cancellation (SIC), and then demodulates the desired signal. In the previous research, the capacity of the near-base-station UE is evaluated on the assumption that the UE removes the interference signal perfectly. However, the reception characteristics of the UE is remarkably deteriorated if the UE fails to remove the interference signal and generates the residual interference power. In this paper, we evaluate the condition of the generation of the residual interference power and propose an evaluation method of the channel capacity with imperfect SIC, where the near-base-station UE and cell-edge UE are applied by 16 quadrature amplitude modulation (16QAM) and quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), respectably. The results of simulation quantitatively show the increase of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) criterion to achieve a certain channel capacity. The proposed evaluation method makes it possible to evaluate the channel capacity with imperfect SIC. |
