Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Many works related to drowsy driving have been conducted to prevent the traffic accident caused by drowsy driving. In this study, we investigated the drowsiness assessment based on eye properties (gazing/blinking) which were extracted from electrooculogram (EOG) signals. Then we examined the relationship between drowsiness, utilized facial expression evaluation (FEE), and gazing/blinking parameters in three categories: alert (FEE=0), lightly drowsy (FEE=1-2), and heavily drowsy (FEE=3-4). As results, it is suggested that the drowsiness estimation by gazing/blinking parameter from EOG are possible to be conducted.
