| Abstract(in English) | This paper investigates the effect of gender on vocabulary acquisition. To do this, we divide the database collected with MacArthur-Bates communicative developmental inventories into male data and female data and estimate word comprehension ages and word production ages for male and female using the data. We analyzed the correlations between male and female word production ages across multiple languages. We also investigated those between male and female word comprehension ages. As a result, we found that there was no significant difference in vocabulary development between male and female. |
