| Abstract(in English) | Recent research indicates that main attention of quality assurance of higher education has come to emphasize the internal quality assurance, which universities themselves take responsibility for checking and evaluating the quality of their activities. It is necessary for universities to assure the ability to promote the appropriate self-evaluation in order to perform the efficient and effective evaluation. However, very little research has been done to visualize the characteristics of the self-evaluation based on the objective data. In this paper, we aim to investigate the relationship between the self-evaluation and evaluation result. Categorical ratings of the levels of the education and research evaluation data extracted from the national university corporation evaluation were examined. Results showed that the ratings were influenced by the difference of the self-evaluation and evaluation result. Besides, the influence of the research field and evaluation viewpoints were also observed. |
