Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In an event where many people gather in a specific location, a huge mobile traffic exceeding the processing capability of existing communication resources occurs. A degradation of a communication quality at the event venue and its surroundings due to this traffic occurrence, brings down the satisfaction level of mobile communication services. An additional deployment of communication resources can be considered as a way to prevent degradation of the communication quality in advance. In order to additionally deploy communication resources, it is important to estimate spatiotemporally a communication quality and a change amount of one due to deployment of communication resources in the event venue and its surroundings on the day. The authors study to predict an event traffic volume on the day by simulating a communication behavior of a mobile terminal user and to estimate a communication quality from the prediction result. In this paper, we compare a predicted traffic volume and a communication quality measured on the day for an actual event held. Furthermore, we evaluate the possibility of estimating a communication quality using traffic prediction results and the validity of communication behavior model for traffic prediction.
