Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Peak current mode control is a widely used control method for DC-DC converter because it has higher stability and responsibility than the voltage mode control. However, if the switching frequency is increased ignoring the turn-off delay time, it may become the dividing frequency operation. In this operation, the switching frequency is not equal to the clock frequency and can not drive with high switching frequency. In this paper, we clarified the mechanism of the dividing frequency operation and derived the relationship between the turn-off delay time and the limit operating frequency of the DC-DC converter. Also, we derived the relationship when we applied the slope compensation as well. As experimental results, when there is the delay time, it was confirmed that the limit operating frequency of the DC-DC converter is limited lower as the duty ratio is lower and the slope is larger.
