Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In massive MIMO systems, there have already been several studies on 2-step beamforming that forms a precoder in a subspace after beam-space transformation. Here, the performance is affected by beam shapes and subspace selection strategies. In the paper, we evaluate the performance dependency on beam shapes: a DFT based beam, Chebyshev weighted beams, and Taylor weighted beams. In addition, we test various criteria for subspace selection: average power, instantaneous power, and channel correlation. The evaluation results show that higher throughputs can be obtained by the DFT beam when without process delay and by the Chebyshev beam when with channel transition for normalized Doppler frequency of 0.01. |
