Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes frequency hopping (FH) reception for narrowband primary synchronization signal (NPSS) and narrowband secondary synchronization signal (NSSS) in order to improve the physical cell ID (PCID) detection probability for narrowband (NB)-Internet-of-Things (IoT). Link-level simulation results show that the PCID detection probability using the FH reception is improved by approximately 13 % compared to that without FH reception with one-antenna transmission and the FH separation of four resource blocks (RBs). This result suggests that the averaging time of the auto-correlation for detecting the NPSS received timing is deceased to approximately 1/3 that without FH reception. We also show that the PCID detection probability of 97 % is achieved by using the FH reception and precoding vector switching (PVS) transmit diversity at the average received SNR of 0 dB. Finally, it is shown that the high PCID detection probability of greater than 90 % is achieved by using the FH reception and PVS transmit diversity at the average received SNR of 0 dB for the frequency offset of 70 kHz.
