Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the global market of security cameras is estimated 28,450,000, which is 80% more than 2010. In order to reduce the blind spot, a bird's-eye image compositing system using multiple camera images has been proposed. In this system, since the projection plane is fixed, monitoring of objects is limited to a one-way viewpoint and it is difficult to obtain detailed information about the object. To solve the above problems, we are considering the high-speed composition method of free-viewpoint moving image based on the multi-lens camera. In this paper, we propose the reduction method of the conversion coefficient by repeating function approximation recursively on the assumption that hardware implementation of the projection transformation in image composition. First, the division included in the projective transformation expression is approximated by a linear function, and the function is reduced to only addition by expressing with a recurrence formula. Next, coefficients of the approximate expression in the horizontal direction of the image are regarded as functions in the vertical direction, and the function approximation and recurrence formula expression are applied. In addition, by mapping the initial values of this recurrence formula to a new coordinate plane, it can similarly be expressed as recurrence formulas. According to the implementation results using these methods, we reduced the number of initial values by 60% and realized high-quality image composition.
