Abstract(in English) | The daily management of arteriovenous fistula is important since it tends to suffer stenosis and obstruction. The current management techniques are subjective and invasive. To solve these problems we have proposed an optical imaging technique, and proved the fundamental usefulness of this technique. However, the test-manufactured system was too large and heavy for the bedside measurement. In this research, we pursued the possibility of clinical application of the proposed technique by making the measurement system compact and light. Consequently, the system was integrated compact and greatly reduced in weight. In addition, we introduced a new image processing technique using transillumination images with different wavelengths of light. By the differential imaging of two images, the accuracy in the measurement of blood vessel inner diameter was successfully improved. Through this study, the possibility to use the proposed technique in clinical practice was increased. |
