Abstract(in English) We have proposed a new multi-diffraction-type electro-optic (EO) deflector using polarization-reversed structures, which can deflect visible-wavelength laser beams with high-speed and high-efficiency by using Bragg diffraction and wavefront control based on the EO effect. This spatial light deflector operating in the visible light region is an important device for laser display and laser illumination applications. Furthermore, high-speed operation of the deflector is necessary not only for the illumination applications but also for the visible light communication systems with the combination of moving object detection. In this paper, the operational principle, design, and experimental results of the proposed EO Bragg deflector are reported.
