An application of association rule mining for the brain functional connectivity networks during different facial expressions

Abstract(in English) Electroencephalograms (EEGs) during facial expression were measured. We calculated synchronization likelihood (SL) shows which pairs of electrodes are highly synchronized in time course. Sometimes, SL in different electrode pairs have the peaks at same time. The pairs were gathered to construct brain functional connectivity networks (BFCNs) as the edges in the network. We reconstructed the networks based on the results of association rule mining and quantified them. Finally, we proposed the efficiency of an application of association rule mining to EEG research field.
