Abstract(in English) | The semi-implicit FDTD method with implicit time updating of magnetic field is extended as a conformal scheme to reduce the so-called staircase approximation error in the analysis of electromagnetic structures including both dielectrics and perfectly electric conductors. This scheme is formulated to be spatially almost second-order accurate and have more relaxed stability condition than that of the standard explicit FDTD method. To check its numerical accuracy, the formulated scheme is applied to a cavity resonator partially filled by a dielectric material. The scheme shows a second order convergence in the resonance frequency analysis. |
